I have been operating Turner Guide Service since 1995, and we have had many successful big game hunts with friends and clients. I offer big game hunts for Bighorn Sheep, Rocky Mountain Elk, Mountain Goats, High Country Mule Deer, Shiras Moose, Black Bear, Pronghorn and Mountain Lions.

Turner Guide Service is a self-owned and self-operated big game hunting and guiding business. I believe in the highest hunter and outdoor ethics. I want to give my clients the best of service, and that is why I offer a very personal one-on-one experience.

I have lived in the Idaho Springs area of Colorado all of my life. I have successfully hunted with a bow, black powder, and center-fire rifle. My thoughts were to share some of the experiences that I have had with other hunters and outdoor enthusiasts.

My Service is mostly operated on National Forest land under Special Use Permit, but we do hunt some private property. The Game Managed Units I guide range from 7,500ft to 12,000ft in elevation, most of which is very rugged. The scenery is spectacular. You must draw a tag to hunt most of these units but the wait is worth it. The quality of animals held in these units is fantastic.

Most of the hunting is done on foot, so you need to be in the best of physical and mental condition.

Target ranges include a 12 target 3D animal course for archery hunters, and a 100 yard range for muzzle loader and rifle hunters.
